Abstract

This study aims to provide a general overview of the urgency of euphemism in Indonesian schools in Malaysia. Through qualitative methods, simple observations were carried out to present a real picture of the conditions of schools, students, and teachers. The observation results revealed that Indonesian schools in Malaysia have students and teachers from different backgrounds. Students with a Malaysian background may experience clashes in communication misunderstandings with Indonesian teachers. Therefore, it is important to introduce euphemism to Indonesian schools in Malaysia. Euphemisms can be incorporated into learning content, such as teaching modules containing subtle languages that can be used in everyday communication. This approach is expected to help reduce potential communication clashes and improve the understanding between students and teachers with different cultural backgrounds.
